Feature Specification: User Authentication

Overview

Add user authentication to the application.

Requirements

Functional Requirements

• FR-001: Users can register with email and password
• FR-002: Users can login with valid credentials
• FR-003: Users can logout from the application
• FR-004: Users can reset their password

Success Criteria

• SC-001: Registration completes in under 3 seconds
• SC-002: Login success rate above 99%
• SC-003: Password reset emails sent within 1 minute

User Scenarios

User Story 1 - Login (Priority: P1)

Acceptance Scenarios:

1. Given a registered user, When they enter valid credentials, Then they are logged in.
2. Given a user with invalid credentials, When they attempt login, Then they see an error message.

User Story 2 - Registration (Priority: P1)

Acceptance Scenarios:

1. Given a new user, When they complete registration, Then their account is created.
