From AI experimentation to dependable production, building developer trust through runtime control
Drew Gorton is Senior Director of Developer Relations at LaunchDarkly, where he helps developers adopt runtime control for AI-era software. He makes complex platforms practical through technical education, runnable examples, developer feedback, and hands-on experiences for building and managing AI agents in production. A developer-relations and developer-experience leader, Drew has built global teams at Temporal, Pantheon, Pagoda, and Unleash. At Temporal, he grew DevRel from 2 to 16 and established adoption metrics that informed product and go-to-market decisions. He speaks about developer trust, AI-agent reliability, runtime control, and moving from experimentation to dependable production software.

Managing AI Agents in Production
A hands-on workshop for teams building software with AI agents. Attendees create and deploy an agent, then use LaunchDarkly AgentControl to manage prompts, models, and tools in production without redeploying. Along the way, they’ll explore how to shape and evaluate agent behavior, including in coding-agent workflows, and safely roll out changes as the agent evolves quickly and with full assurance.
