AI Native Dev - Amsterdam

AI is changing how software gets built, and the developer’s role along with it. Join the AI Native Dev community in Amsterdam for an evening exploring what software engineering looks like when developers spend less time writing every line of code and more time guiding AI agents. Expect practical technical talks, lessons from teams building with AI today, and plenty of time to meet other developers working through the same shift. If you're at the HumanX event, this is the perfect after-party. Kindly hosted by the awesome folks at Picnic. As agentic development takes hold, agent skills are becoming our unit of software, but we're not treating them that way. In this session, I'll make the case that agent skills deserve the same rigour we've spent decades applying to code. Crafted with intention. Tested against real behaviour. Skills are the new Code

A developer's job has moved from writing code to guiding agents, and skills (or context) are now their main tool. As agentic development takes hold, agent skills are becoming our unit of software, but we're not treating them that way.

In this session, I'll make the case that agent skills deserve the same rigour we've spent decades applying to code. Crafted with intention. Tested against real behaviour. Versioned and maintained in step with the project around them. Treating skills as an afterthought isn't just technical debt, it's the difference between AI that ships and AI that drifts.
