AI Native Dev Events Code of Respect

AI Native Dev Community Code of Respect: a guide to ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free experience across all community spaces and events.

Our Commitment

The AI Native Dev Community is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, respectful, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, level of experience, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, appearance, or background.

This Code of Respect applies across all AI Native Dev Community spaces, including conferences, meetups, workshops, online communities, livestreams, and social events.

We believe the best communities are built through curiosity, openness, collaboration, and respect for one another. Whether you are attending, speaking, sponsoring, volunteering, organizing, or participating online, we expect everyone to help create a positive environment for all.

Expected Behaviour

We ask all members of the AI Native Dev Community to:

  • Treat others with kindness, professionalism, and respect
  • Be welcoming to people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives
  • Engage in constructive discussions and healthy debate
  • Give feedback thoughtfully and receive feedback gracefully
  • Respect personal boundaries, both in-person and online
  • Help create an environment where everyone feels safe participating
  • Support a culture of learning, collaboration, and inclusion

Unacceptable Behaviour

Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or abusive conduct
  • Sexualized language, imagery, or unwelcome sexual attention
  • Trolling, insulting, or derogatory comments
  • Personal, political, or discriminatory attacks
  • Deliberate disruption of talks, workshops, networking events, livestreams, or online spaces
  • Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome advances
  • Recording or photographing individuals in contexts where they have requested privacy
  • Sharing someone’s private information without explicit permission
  • Sustained disruption of conversations or community activities
  • Any behaviour that would reasonably make others feel unsafe, unwelcome, or uncomfortable

Scope

This Code of Respect applies to all AI Native Dev Community spaces, including but not limited to:

  • AI Native DevCon conferences
  • Community meetups and local events
  • Workshops and training sessions
  • Online communities and chat platforms
  • Livestreams, webinars, and virtual events
  • Social events and networking activities
  • Social media interactions related to the community

This also applies to anyone representing the AI Native Dev Community publicly, including speakers, sponsors, volunteers, attendees, organizers, moderators, and community partners.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Respect, please contact the AI Native Dev team immediately.

You can report concerns by:

  • Speaking to a member of the event or moderation team
  • Emailing: hello@ainativedev.io
  • Messaging the moderation or event team through official community channels

All reports will be handled seriously, respectfully, and as confidentially as possible.

Enforcement

The AI Native Dev Community organizers and moderators reserve the right to take any action deemed necessary to maintain a safe and respectful environment. This may include:

  • Verbal or written warnings
  • Removal from specific sessions, events, or online spaces
  • Removal from events without refund
  • Temporary or permanent bans from future community participation
  • Contacting venue security or local authorities when appropriate

We are committed to enforcing this Code fairly and consistently.

A Shared Responsibility

The AI Native Dev Community exists to bring together developers, researchers, founders, platform teams, security experts, and the wider AI engineering ecosystem to learn from one another and help shape the future of software development together.

We all play a role in making this community open, collaborative, respectful, and welcoming.
