add-trainer-model

Add a new trainable base model to BOTH trainers end-to-end — the in-app trainer (main Next.js app, src/) and the Training Studio (apps/training-studio). Orchestrates add-ecosystem (if the base model is missing) and add-training-support (main-app wiring), then mirrors the model into the Training Studio catalog, which nothing else covers. AI-Toolkit only (Kohya is discontinued). Use when onboarding a new model family for training, or a new version of one — e.g. ZImage, MiniMax H3, a new Flux/Wan variant. Always checks whether @civitai/orchestration-client ships the ecosystem's training input type first.

Quality

Content

96%Weight 40%Scale 1-5

Reviews the quality of instructions and guidance provided to agents. Good implementation is clear, handles edge cases, and produces reliable results.

An exemplary orchestration skill: it owns the decision layer, delegates to sibling skills rather than duplicating them, and provides executable commands, hard checkpoints, and validation loops throughout. The only weaknesses are mild repetition of the feature-flag gating policy and a single-file body that is somewhat long.

DimensionReasoningScore

Conciseness

Nearly every token is repo-specific knowledge Claude cannot already know (the two trainers, fail-closed flag gates, the vendored mirror), and it assumes competence throughout. However, the mod-gating policy is restated three-plus times (intro, the Step 3 red callout, the flagKey bullet, and the recap table), which could be trimmed.

4 / 5

Actionability

Fully executable guidance: copy-paste grep and pnpm/vitest commands with exact paths, exact field names and values to set (flagKey, PARAM_DEFAULTS keys, label policy), a complete plan template to state back to the user, and a concrete whatif-based verification procedure.

5 / 5

Workflow Clarity

Steps 0–5 are clearly sequenced with hard checkpoints ('Do not touch any file until all three are answered', 'Wait for confirmation'), explicit validation (typecheck both trainers + a vitest gate test with 'Iterate until both are clean'), a common-failures list for error recovery, and an optional verification step with expected outcomes.

5 / 5

Progressive Disclosure

No bundle files exist, and the single body is well organized (numbered steps, headers, a recap table, clearly signaled sibling-skill references). It sits at the heavy end for a single file — the Step 3 mirror detail and Notes could plausibly live in a reference file — so structure is good but not fully split.

Description

92%Weight 40%Scale 1-5

Based on the skill's description, can an agent find and select it at the right time? Clear, specific descriptions lead to better discovery.

A strong description: it states concrete actions across both trainers, explicitly scopes its relationship to the sibling skills it orchestrates, and includes an explicit 'Use when' trigger with example models. The only gap is a few natural trigger phrasings (e.g. 'make a model trainable') beyond 'onboarding a new model family'.

Suggestions

Consider adding one or two more natural trigger phrasings users would say, such as 'make a base model trainable' or 'add LoRA training support for a model', to broaden keyword coverage beyond 'onboarding a new model family'.

DimensionReasoningScore

Specificity

The description enumerates multiple concrete actions — 'Add a new trainable base model to BOTH trainers end-to-end', 'Orchestrates add-ecosystem… and add-training-support… then mirrors the model into the Training Studio catalog', and 'Always checks whether @civitai/orchestration-client ships the ecosystem's training input type first' — comprehensively covering the skill's orchestration scope.

5 / 5

Completeness

It clearly answers 'what' (add the model to both trainers, orchestrating sub-skills and mirroring the Training Studio catalog) and 'when' (an explicit 'Use when onboarding a new model family for training, or a new version of one' clause with example models).

5 / 5

Trigger Term Quality

'Use when onboarding a new model family for training, or a new version of one — e.g. ZImage, MiniMax H3, a new Flux/Wan variant' gives good natural keyword coverage with concrete model-name examples, but misses common phrasings users might say such as 'make a model trainable' or 'LoRA training'.

4 / 5

Distinctiveness Conflict Risk

It occupies a clear niche — explicitly distinguishing the sibling skills it orchestrates ('add-ecosystem', 'add-training-support') and stating the Training Studio mirror 'which nothing else covers' — leaving minimal overlap risk with related skills.
