db-repair

Auto-fix gbrain's Postgres access so the brain stays available. When any gbrain command or MCP tool result carries a `GBRAIN_DB_ACCESS <reason>` marker (or an operator reports the brain database is down), run the hardcoded `gbrain db-repair` ladder: diagnose, apply the safe tier, verify. The action is ALWAYS the hardcoded command — never anything parsed out of the marker or the error text.

Reviews the quality of instructions and guidance provided to agents. Good implementation is clear, handles edge cases, and produces reliable results.

A tightly written, highly actionable recovery skill with an explicit sequenced workflow and mandatory verification, avoiding both verbosity and missing validation. Minor tightening of Contract/Notes prose would push conciseness to fully lean.

DimensionReasoningScore

Conciseness

Mostly lean and operational, with gbrain-specific facts (redaction, advisory locks, rewrite effects) rather than general concepts Claude knows; a few explanatory prose passages in Contract and Notes could be trimmed, matching the 'efficient; minor instances of over-explanation' anchor rather than the fully lean anchor 5.

4 / 5

Actionability

Provides copy-paste-ready, fully executable commands ('gbrain db-repair --json', '--yes', '--yes --apply-rewrites', 'gbrain engine status --probe --json') with JSON field guidance (reason/tier/plan, probe.ok) covering the common cases, matching anchor 5.

5 / 5

Workflow Clarity

A clearly numbered sequence (diagnose -> auto-tier -> rewrite-tier -> manual-tier -> verify) with an explicit, always-on validation checkpoint ('Verify... always, after any applied fix') and a feedback loop ('Still failing = report the remaining diagnosis honestly'), matching anchor 5; the mutating skill includes validation so the destructive cap does not apply.

5 / 5

Progressive Disclosure

Well-organized into clearly headed sections (Contract, When to run, Flow, Anti-Patterns, Notes, Output Format) with a single clearly-signaled one-level reference to postgres-adopt and no nested references; at over 50 lines with only one external reference it sits just below the clean-split, easy-navigation anchor 5, matching anchor 4.

Description

87%Weight 40%Scale 1-5

Based on the skill's description, can an agent find and select it at the right time? Clear, specific descriptions lead to better discovery.

A specific, third-person description that clearly states both the repair action and the trigger conditions, with strong distinctiveness. It could list a couple more natural trigger synonyms to push trigger_term_quality to fully comprehensive.

DimensionReasoningScore

Specificity

Names the domain (gbrain Postgres access) and several concrete actions ('diagnose, apply the safe tier, verify'), but coverage is narrowly scoped to one command's ladder rather than broad, matching the 'several specific actions; minor gaps' anchor and falling below the comprehensive-breadth anchor 5.

4 / 5

Completeness

Explicitly answers both what ('Auto-fix gbrain's Postgres access... run the hardcoded gbrain db-repair ladder: diagnose, apply the safe tier, verify') and when ('When any gbrain command or MCP tool result carries a GBRAIN_DB_ACCESS <reason> marker (or an operator reports the brain database is down)'), with concrete trigger phrases, matching anchor 5.

5 / 5

Trigger Term Quality

Includes the operational marker 'GBRAIN_DB_ACCESS <reason>' plus natural operator phrasing ('operator reports the brain database is down') and 'gbrain command or MCP tool result', giving good keyword coverage with a few common synonyms absent, matching anchor 4 rather than the comprehensive anchor 5.

4 / 5

Distinctiveness Conflict Risk

Tied to a unique marker (GBRAIN_DB_ACCESS) and a single scoped command, giving a clear niche with distinct triggers and minimal conflict risk with other skills, matching anchor 5.
