Scaling Agentic Engineering at Zalando
In the session, I will be presenting Zalando's journey to enable agentic engineering for >2000 engineers. The session will open with the observed effects of AI in coding on: engineers, codebase quality, and process bottlenecks. Key wins and enablers will be shown, such as: customer-facing chat bots, LLM-assisted (mass) migrations, risk-based PR assessments. Further, foundational pieces for enterprise enablement will be shared: platform investments (proxy, agent platform, skills, readiness scanning), tool integration & governance, and enterprise guardrails that make adoption safe. The session will end by promoting mechanisms for bottom-up knowledge sharing & upskilling that have proven their value at scale.
