A Dream Factory for an Instrument Made of Light
Glinster is a musical instrument for Apple Vision Pro, iPhone and iPad that you play with your bare hands. It began as a prototype I never had time to finish, and it launches on November 3, built in two months by one person and Claude Code running in auto mode.
I ran it as an experiment. I read very little of the code, on purpose, to find out whether the processes and methods we built for programming would hold up without it. An instrument is an unforgiving place to try that: it has to look, feel and sound right at the same moment, and every mistake shows up in front of you as a glitch, a missed note or a gesture that feels wrong, whether or not the tests pass.
This is a look inside that factory. How do you talk to it when what you want is a feeling? What goes wrong when nobody is reading the code? And what is left for you once the factory takes the treadmill? Expect real stories from the transcripts, an honest answer on whether the experiment held, and a live performance to close.
