Since making the jump into generative AI three years ago he's worked on a different set of tools, and these days he focuses on building and shipping Kiro, Amazon's agentic AI-powered coding tool. From individual coding tools to development coding platforms
This session explores the opportunities and challenges observed in large organizations as they navigate their ongoing journeys. These journeys span a broad spectrum from individual, in-line coding assistance to ambitious attempts at building team-level software factories. I'll focus on a few key dimensions that shape these opportunities and challenges, beginning with the concept of trust, along with the economics I've observed while working with AWS customers and engineering organizations at Amazon. I'll also share what has worked well as a solution or mitigation to specific challenges, and what hasn't. Expect more anecdotes than data.
