We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand new conference, AI Native Dev Con. We’re kicking off with an inaugural virtual conference on the 21st November, 2024. The conference aims to help you use AI to develop faster and better today, and exploring how AI is reshaping the way we will build, maintain and evolve software tomorrow. We highlight exciting new tools and advancements in AI-powered software development, with a focus on how large language models are reshaping how we build, maintain, and scale complex codebases. Join us to explore the future where AI goes beyond generating code snippets to orchestrating the creation and evolution of entire software systems.

If this has piqued your interest, register now to secure your ticket.

We’ve opened the CFP from Tuesday 8th October, till Tuesday 22nd October. We’d love to see submissions, both about the future of AI Native development, as well as how to supercharge your development today, using AI Assistant dev tools on your journey. We have a track to cater for each of the two styles of topic, AI today and AI tomorrow. We welcome your proposals, and please let us know if you have any questions on twitter or events@tessl.io

What is AI Native Development?

AI Native Development represents a paradigm shift where AI is deeply integrated into the software development process, rather than merely augmenting existing workflows. Today’s AI-powered coding assistants are effective at automating tasks like test writing and documentation generation. Their focus today is based on the existing development practices, enhancing them so that we can develop most effectively. AI Native Development rethinks these practices from the ground up, redefining both the developer’s role and the workflow itself, with AI taking a central role in creating, evolving, and maintaining codebases over time.

Here’s more information from Tessl’s founder, Guy Podjarny.

Why did you create the conference?

At Tessl, we’re really interersted in learning about AI Native technologies, tools and how they will change the way we build and deliver software in the future. We love meeting like minded people to share ideas and hear different perspectives, however we didn’t find any dev or AI focused conferences who tackled this question head on. So we decided to create our own! And AI Native Dev Con was born!

What topics can I expect to see?

We’ll be creating a two-track conference to cater for both the immediate gains we can make by adding AI into our existing practices today, as well as hear about what we can expect the future to look like with AI more natively and deeply integrated into our processes and tools. We’re looking to offer some practical sessions showing tools, practices and technologies, as well as thought leadership sessions to better prepare you for some of the development changes we’re expecting to see in the near future.

Who will be speaking at the conference?

We’ll release the full list of speakers the week of 22nd October, but we already have a few names to share! We’ll be joined by the wonderful Dion Almaer, Head of Product at Augment Code, Lize Raes, Developer Advocate and Product Manager at Naboo, Patrick Debois, father of DevOps, and of course, Guy Podjarny CEO and founder of Tessl, and myself, Simon Maple.

Register for AI Native Dev Con

We’ll be releasing the schedule in a couple of weeks, and we’ll share details on twitter, as well as to those who have registered for the conference, so be sure to grab your spot. We look forward to seeing you at the conference.
