coverage-check

Audits an already-written use case (UC-XXX) or test case (TC-XXX) against its specification and reports a coverage matrix: which main success scenario steps, alternative flows, business rules, preconditions, and postconditions have code and tests behind them, which are still open, and which code or tests have drifted away from the specification. Use when the user asks to "check coverage", "run a coverage check", "is UC-001 fully implemented", "is UC-001 completely tested", "audit the use case", "show me the coverage matrix", "do a traceability check", "what is still missing for UC-001", or "can I set the status to Tested". This is specification coverage, not line coverage from a coverage report. It reports only — it writes no code, no tests, and no files. When the user wants the gaps closed rather than listed, use /implement, /spring-boot-test, /vitest-test, or /playwright-test instead.

Quality

Content

88%Weight 40%Scale 1-5

Reviews the quality of instructions and guidance provided to agents. Good implementation is clear, handles edge cases, and produces reliable results.

A strong orchestrator-style instruction document: unambiguous parsing rules, fully concrete delegation and command mappings, well-validated workflows including a capped sweep procedure, and a deliberate, clearly signaled split of the audit checklist into an external file. The only deductions are minor prose that could be trimmed and reference-level detail kept inline.

Suggestions

Tighten the rhetorical justifications in Arguments, After the Report, and Repeated Runs (e.g., 'the fastest way to turn an audit into a rubber stamp', 'what sends /spec-review and /coverage-check round in circles') to one clause each — the rules are clear without the imagery and this would lift conciseness to the top anchor.

Consider moving the detailed Repeated Runs delta taxonomy and the five-step sweep procedure into a references/ file (e.g., references/sweeps.md) signaled from the body, keeping SKILL.md as a lean front door consistent with the checklist split it already makes for agents/uc-coverage.md.

DimensionReasoningScore

Conciseness

The body is dense and rule-driven — the token parsing table, the three weighted parsing rules, and the DO NOT list all earn their tokens, and it never explains concepts Claude already knows. It falls short of anchor 5 only because of rhetorical flourishes and extended prose (e.g., "the fastest way to turn an audit into a rubber stamp", the Repeated Runs and drift deliberations) that could be tightened without losing guidance.

4 / 5

Actionability

For an instruction-only skill the guidance is fully executable: exact delegation strings ('UC-001 both', 'UC-001 implementation work in progress'), a token-to-meaning parsing table with normalization rules, exact gap-to-command mappings (/implement, /spring-boot-test, /vitest-test, /playwright-test, /open-questions answer OQ-XXX), concrete glob patterns, and a worked example of the cap-confirmation question. Per the scoring notes, absence of code is not penalized when the guidance is this actionable.

5 / 5

Workflow Clarity

The six-step workflow is clearly sequenced with explicit validation checkpoints ('Stop and ask if it does not', 'State the resolved arguments in one line... so a wrong parse costs one rerun'), and the sweep — the batch operation here — has a pre-pass, a published table, a rank-and-cap rule, and mandatory confirmation before exceeding the cap ('30 use cases, 7 look suspicious. Audit those 7 now, or name the ones you want?'). Error-recovery paths (drift resolution, verdict wobble, gap still open after a fix) round out the feedback loops.

5 / 5

Progressive Disclosure

The audit checklist is deliberately split into a single, well-signaled one-level reference with an explicit anti-drift rationale and a locate instruction ('lives in agents/uc-coverage.md at the plugin root (locate it with a glob for **/agents/uc-coverage.md)'), plus a fallback for hosts without sub-agents. It stops short of anchor 5 because the referenced file sits outside this skill's bundle (no references/ directory exists here and the path cannot be verified from the listing), and sections such as Repeated Runs and Sweeps carry near-reference-level detail inline in an already long body.

Description

100%Weight 40%Scale 1-5

Based on the skill's description, can an agent find and select it at the right time? Clear, specific descriptions lead to better discovery.

An exemplary description: concrete third-person capabilities, comprehensive quoted trigger phrases, explicit what/when, clear boundary statements, and explicit disambiguation from neighboring implementation and test skills. No dimension shows anchor-4-level weaknesses.

DimensionReasoningScore

Specificity

The description lists multiple concrete, comprehensive actions — audits a UC-XXX/TC-XXX against its specification and reports a coverage matrix across main success scenario steps, alternative flows, business rules, preconditions, and postconditions, plus open items and drift — all in third person ('Audits', 'reports'). This matches the anchor for multiple specific concrete actions with comprehensive coverage; the only lower anchor (4) would require minor gaps in coverage, which are not present.

5 / 5

Completeness

It explicitly answers both what (audit + coverage matrix with enumerated unit types, open items, and drift) and when (a full set of quoted trigger phrases), and adds explicit boundaries ("This is specification coverage, not line coverage"; "It reports only") and routing to sibling skills for gap-closing. This is a clear match for the anchor that requires both what AND when with concrete trigger phrases.

5 / 5

Trigger Term Quality

It quotes natural user phrasings directly: "check coverage", "run a coverage check", "is UC-001 fully implemented", "is UC-001 completely tested", "audit the use case", "show me the coverage matrix", "do a traceability check", "what is still missing for UC-001", "can I set the status to Tested". Coverage of natural terms including synonyms far exceeds the anchor-4 example where a few natural terms are missing.

5 / 5

Distinctiveness Conflict Risk

It occupies a clear niche — specification coverage auditing of UC/TC artifacts — and explicitly disambiguates from line coverage and from the gap-closing skills (/implement, /spring-boot-test, /vitest-test, /playwright-test) that would otherwise overlap. Distinct, specific triggers plus explicit routing yield minimal conflict risk, matching the anchor-5 example's structure.
