music-to-video

Use when the user has a music track (an audio file, or a video to pull audio from) and wants a beat-synced HyperFrames video, calm to hard-hitting. The music drives everything: one analyzer reads it once, the orchestrator lays out the frames and fills a per-frame plan, and one sub-agent builds each frame. Typography and templates are the floor — a complete video needs zero assets — but any images or videos the user supplies are cut into the frames on the same beat grid (beat-cut / ken-burns). The genre (lyric video, slideshow, kinetic promo) falls out of the per-frame choices; the pipeline never branches on it.

Reviews the quality of instructions and guidance provided to agents. Good implementation is clear, handles edge cases, and produces reliable results.

A tightly written, highly actionable orchestrator skill with explicit gates, validation loops, and a well-organized reference structure. The only gap is a few referenced files missing from the bundle.

Suggestions

Add the missing `references/bgm.md` and `sub-agents/frame-worker.md` files (or correct the paths) so the referenced navigation lands.

Consolidate the repeated analyzer-trust caveat (Steps 0, 1, and 2) into one canonical statement referenced from each step to trim tokens.

Verify the `../hyperframes-core` and `../hyperframes-creative` cross-skill paths are resolvable from the install location, since a broken sibling path blocks Step 3 and Step 4.

DimensionReasoningScore

Conciseness

Mostly lean and assumes competence ("Keep design and motion rules out of this file"), but the analyzer-trust caveat is restated across Steps 0/1/2 and the orchestration framing repeats, adding minor padding.

4 / 5

Actionability

Fully executable: copy-paste bash for every step (init, analyze-beatgrid.py, validate-plan.mjs, assemble-index.mjs, hyperframes lint/validate/inspect/render) with concrete flags and output paths.

5 / 5

Workflow Clarity

Seven sequenced steps each with an explicit **Gate**, a validate-plan.mjs fix-loop ("Fix every ✗... iterate until they approve"), and a Resume table mapping artifacts to re-entry points.

5 / 5

Progressive Disclosure

Clear overview with a one-level-deep reference table and directory layout, but three referenced paths do not exist in this bundle (references/bgm.md, sub-agents/frame-worker.md, and the cited frame-worker link), slightly weakening navigation.

Description

100%Weight 40%Scale 1-5

Based on the skill's description, can an agent find and select it at the right time? Clear, specific descriptions lead to better discovery.

A strong, complete description: explicit trigger clause, concrete pipeline actions, and a clear boundary that separates it from adjacent skills. Third-person voice is maintained throughout.

DimensionReasoningScore

Specificity

Lists multiple concrete actions with comprehensive coverage: "one analyzer reads it once, the orchestrator lays out the frames and fills a per-frame plan, and one sub-agent builds each frame", plus media handling "cut into the frames on the same beat grid (beat-cut / ken-burns)".

5 / 5

Completeness

Explicitly answers both: an explicit "Use when the user has a music track... and wants a beat-synced HyperFrames video" trigger, and a concrete what (analyze → lay out frames → fill per-frame plan → build each frame).

5 / 5

Trigger Term Quality

Comprehensive natural terms a user would actually say: "music track", "audio file", "video to pull audio from", "beat-synced", and genre synonyms ("lyric video, slideshow, kinetic promo").

5 / 5

Distinctiveness Conflict Risk

Clear niche (music → beat-synced HyperFrames video) with distinct triggers and an explicit boundary ("no narration and no website capture"), minimal conflict risk with sibling skills.
