tooluniverse-natural-product-dereplication

Dereplicate a putative natural product and assign its chemical taxonomy. Use to answer "is [compound] a known natural product", "what microbe/organism produces [compound]", "what chemical class is [compound]", "dereplicate this metabolite (by formula/exact mass/InChIKey/SMILES)", or "classify this molecule into ChemOnt". Searches NPAtlas for known microbial natural products (producing organism + literature reference), assigns the ChemOnt kingdom→superclass→class→subclass hierarchy via ClassyFire, resolves systematic IUPAC names to structure via OPSIN, and cross-references identity in PubChem. NOT for general drug/compound identity or ADMET (use tooluniverse-chemical-compound-retrieval / tooluniverse-small-molecule-discovery) and NOT for metabolomics pathway/enrichment analysis (use tooluniverse-metabolomics skills).

Low-risk findings.

1 low severity finding. Worth noting, but not necessarily harmful.

Low

W011: Third-party content exposure detected (indirect prompt injection risk).

What this means

The skill exposes the agent to untrusted, user-generated content from public third-party sources, creating a risk of indirect prompt injection. This includes browsing arbitrary URLs, reading social media posts or forum comments, and analyzing content from unknown websites.

Why it was flagged

At runtime, the workflow ingests outsider-provided compound identifiers (e.g., free-text systematic/trivial names, SMILES, or formulas) and feeds them into live lookups like `OPSIN_name_to_structure`, `PubChem_get_CID_by_compound_name`, and `NPAtlas_search_compounds`, so the LLM may read and condition on user-authored text that indirectly drives tool calls.
