EE Board Specification Reader

Use this skill when the user names a known board or when enclosure/CAD work needs board dimensions, mounting holes, connectors, or keepouts.

Core Workflow

  1. Read references/board-tool.md.
  2. Identify the target board by exact model name or closest supported alias.
  3. Query cad.board_model for an exact bundled STEP match and install only the confirmed source version.
  4. Read the structured board catalog row when electrical or mechanical metadata beyond the STEP is needed.
  5. Pass returned mechanical and power constraints downstream without inventing missing precision.

Do not infer connector coordinates or mounting holes when the database lacks them. Report missing fields as assumptions or uncertainty.
